I realized this afternoon that it's been a couple weeks since I last posted. I wish I can remember what I did yesterday, let alone, 2 weeks ago. Work has stayed hectic and for the earlier part of last week I was lucky to get home by 9:00pm. Fortunately the workload has been slightly decreasing which has given me a little break. I won't hold my breath though because I know that the likely hood of me getting out before 6:00pm is slim to none. My projects have been getting done and shipped out but that just means that in the down time I need to catch up on all the paperwork I've been putting off, which is what I should be doing right now.
This past weekend provided a nice break. I ended up tagging along with Adam, Walt, Jim, Andrea (Jim's girlfriend), Dave and Mike for the Hoboken St. Patrick's Day festivities. Every year, 2 weeks before St. Patty's Day, Hoboken decides to have their parade and all the bars are packed. People wait HOURS in line for their favorite bar and pay upward from a $20.00 cover charge just to get in the door. Once you get in, you will pay anywhere from $5.00+ for a draft beer and get bumped into more than twice a minute. This sort of chaos probably doesn't sound like much fun to someone like my mother, however, for me and my friends it was the perfect opportunity to cut lose and relax, something I haven't done since my Christmas vacation.
Speaking of vacations, I cannot wait for my Vegas vacation. It's now less than a month away and I'm so excited!!! Adam has 2 presidents club passes from his Continental credit card so we'll be able to have a snack and some drinks before our 8:30pm flight on Thursday night. We're also thinking about getting tickets to see Cique du Soliel KA at the MGM Grand for Saturday night. I need to start researching some good restaurants and make reservations for at least Friday and Saturday nights. If anyone has any reccomendations let me know.
Well I think that's it for now. I will try to post more frequently as my mom has informed me that she's been giving my blog address to some family friends so I like to tell myself that my "secret readers" would appreciate more up-to-date posts.
Enjoy!
