After an eventful couple of evenings my week has started to look up.
I met Adam's dad in the city for dinner on Wednesday night. It's so nice to live so close to the city and be able to drive in for a dinner and drink. We went to a restaurant in Little Italy that was good, but not great, as much of the restaurants in Little Italy are. It was nice to spend the evening with someone since Adam is in Kansas City this week. I headed back to NJ fairly early as I was pretty tired and my stomach was a litle upset (I really shouldn't eat food with dairy unless I'm close to a bathroom).
Yesterday evening I met my freshman-sophomore year college roomate, Sunny, in Stamford, Connecticut for dinner. After a rough week and difficulty waking up that morning (no Adam=no wake up call), I was questioning whether or not to go. I hadn't seen Sunny in over 2 years so it was great to grab dinner and drinks and catch up. She's living in Chicago now and working as a packaging engineer there. I don't have many friends (if any) in Chicago, so it's nice to have someone to be able to visit back in the Midwest, other than Michigan. After dinner we walked down the street to Macy's where I bought two new shirts... the first clothes I bought in months!
After work today I'm taking the train out to see Kendra. It's quite a hike and involves many connections, but it'll be nice to not have to drive. I really need a nice relaxing weekend, and although the weather is calling for showers on Saturday and Sunday, maybe catching up on some new releases on Kendra's couch doesn't sound too bad...

not so sure that you'll want to watch movies on that couch anymore...
