This past weekend Adam and I were lucky enough to have not 1, not 2, not 3 or 4, but 5 Michigan visitors. Last Thursday Adam picked up Jason, Cory and Cory's fiance Tammy from the airport. Adam spent Thursday & Friday showing them around New York City. Because I couldn't get the time off work, I wasn't able to join in their venture into the city, but am kinda glad I was sitting in a nice air conditioned office, as they were treking through the city in 90 degree heat and humidity. On Friday, I met Kendra and Amy at my apartment and we took off for the night to Amy's aunts house in Brick. I knew that Brick was only about 5 miles south of Manasquan, so I figured I could spend some time with my old roomies and meet up with the crew at the shore house on Saturday. After getting lost a couple times, we finally arrived to Aunt Abbies. Not only does Amy's aunt have the best name of all time, but a GORGEOUS home right on the bay! Quite a change from Third Ave. We ate dinner and talked with her aunt for a while before crashing at about 10:30. We were all exhausted, especially Kendra and Amy who got up at 5:00am to make the 10 hour trip to NJ. It was so nice to see them, I almost forgot that we wouldn't be returning to 11F together.
Saturday started out kinda overcast, so we stuck around Amy's aunts house until about 3:00, when we headed to Manasquan. I was concerned about the sleeping situation, but it all turned out fine. I was even more excited to find out that a very special visitor was already waiting at the house. Lucy was there and was going to be there all day and night. If it wasn't for the sandwich she found under Jim's bed, Nick probably would have let her sleep with me in their room. Adam and I gave Cory and Tammy our room so they had some privacy, and we slept on the Aerobed in Jim and Walts room. We hit the beach and hung around the house until about 10:30 when we grabbed a cab over to Jenkinsons. It was a pretty fun night, and if it wasn't for Kendra we probably would have stayed there until they closed! Anyways, we came back to the house and got some grub and went to sleep.
It was hard to say goodbye to everyone on Sunday. Being surrounded by so many friends makes me realize how lonely it is without them. I miss Kendra and Amy a ton. I've made tons of friends at the shore, but they all seem to be guys, and I miss my girls and being able to do goofy girl things. I hope everyone had an awesome time, and luckily for me, I get to see everyone again this weekend at the draft party. I can't wait!
Hopefully the next couple weeks won't be so hectic so I can update this more often. I'll post pictures from this weekend as soon as I get them!

Your weekend sounded like lots of fun. It will be neat to see everyone again this weekend! You know it will be sad to say goodbye to everyone at the cottage in a couple weeks! This summer has FLOWN by...but it sounds like you are adjusting well to your new surroundings! Maybe we'll catch up with you sometime this weekend. (If you are wondering why I deleted my first post...I had some major punctuation errors that I needed to attend to but of course I had already posted it before proof reading...)
