OMG-WAW

For months now Kendra and I have been turning everyday phrases into acronyms. Some, like the one above, "Oh My God, What a Week", are almost easier to say the full phrase rather than the shortened version, but either way they're fun and you'll begin to see more in my blog.
Anyways, acronyms or not, my life has been nothing short of choas the past couple weeks. Last week I spent Monday, Tuesday and Friday out of the office traveling for work. I didn't find out about my Friday trip until Thursday, so I was stuck at the office until 10:00pm on Thursday night attempting to catch up and plan for the week ahead.
Unfortunately this week hasn't provided much relief and the past couple days have been just as busy as last week. I don't know if it's the amount of work that I have to do, or if it's that everything seems to be crashing down... either way I have not been a happy camper and have looked to other resources for relaxing at night.
I usually was able to come home, watch TV, eat dinner and read a couple chapters before going to bed. Lately I've been very anxious and stressed when I get home from work so on Sunday I bought Guitar Hero III (GH3) for my Wii to help keep my mind off work and occupy some of my evening (the few hours that I have of it).
I didn't think I would be able to concentrate or play GH3 for long periods of time (ADD will do that to you), but I found myself playing for most of the day on Sunday and a couple hours each night this week so far. I'm also fortunate enough to have 2 friends who have GH3 for Wii and we can play live online, which gets me all excited in a goofy way.
It's totally nerdy and not very characteristic of me to be so involved in a video game, but I'm glad there's something that can help calm me down after a long day (or week) of work. Right now I'm looking forward to spending all weekend playing GH3, watching football, eating buffalo wings (going to hit up the new BW3's that opened in Palisades Mall on Saturday) and throwing back a couple of good beers. If I didn't have a vagina I would question my sexuality- lol :)
