It's been awhile...

I guess I tend to only update my blog when I have something exciting to report. This past weekend and week have been fairly uneventful and pretty boring. The majority of my time and thoughts are spent dreaming about the Manasquan beach, and having my best friend here to enjoy the summer with me!
Last Tuesday, Adam, Mason and I headed to Hoboken to catch the PATH into the city to go to the International Auto Show. Adam went to the NYC auto show last year and had told me how small it was in comparison to the one we’re familiar with in Detroit, the Motorcity. I was actually surprised at how big it was, I was expecting something much more low key, but it wasn’t all that much smaller. We got wings and beer at Black Bear before heading there, and allowed a little over 2 hours for touring the show. We ended up leaving about 10 minutes before they officially closed and got home a little before midnight. It was a late weeknight for me, and I was pretty exhausted on Wednesday.
Last weekend was kicked off by another “beer tour” at Cricket Hill. This time we brought Kory and Walt with us for the “tour” and then had dinner at Houllihans afterwards. Towards the end of dinner I lost my appetite and started to feel nauseous (probably from all the micro brewed beer) so Adam and I headed home and went to bed.
On Saturday, Kory, Lauren and Walt headed over to meet up for the Hoboken “scavenger hunt” (aka bar crawl). It was raining outside so I drove them to the train station, and headed to babysitt. After babysitting I went down to Hoboken to pick them up. Everyone was pretty sober, except for Walt. We stopped at White Castle on the way home, where I got into a fight with a guy about the proper pronunciation of “Kielbasa” (by the way, I will not back down, the “A” at the end of Kielbasa is not pronounced as “EE” just because you live in New Jersey). Anyways, after a much needed sack of burgers we were back at my place, in bed. Walt of course was on the living room floor…
On Sunday, because Walt spent the night, I was again graced with his presence. That means that I saw/hung out with Walt three days in a row. I think that un-offically makes him my new “boyfriend”. In the afternoon we met up with Kory and Lauren to go see “Thank you for Smoking.” It was a really good movie and I wish I hadn’t dozed off for a couple minutes in the middle. After the movie we went grocery shopping and stayed home and just relaxed for the night.
This past week has brought nothing too exciting. I went to the dentist on Tuesday and for the 22nd year in a row left with no cavities. Pretty good for someone who only brushes their teeth once a day…I know it’s gross but I’m way to tired to brush at night, and my breath is still atrocious in the morning, so why bother??? I guess you can blame this on my mother... I don't remember ever having to brush my teeth before bed when I was little and I guess I never decided that I should, and apparently I'm not going to start anytime soon since it hasn't seemed to effect my teeth (Adam may complain about the breath in the morning though).
Yesterday night I made dinner and did laundry so Adam had some clothes for this weekend. Laundry is much easier when you do it for an hour or so weekly as opposed to 10 loads in one day, making it an all day task. I went to bed early because I had to drive Adam to JFK this morning. We left the apartment at 6:30am I got Adam there at 7:15 for his 9:00 flight. After sitting in traffic on the way back, I made it to work only 20 minutes late…which wasn’t as bad as I had originally thought.
Tomorrow morning I’m driving out to Long Island with Rachel to look at apartments for Kendra. Rachel’s is more familiar with LI than I am, and I’m thrilled that she agreed to come with me considering we’re leaving NJ by 8:00am to make our first 10:00am viewing. Not too sure what else is planned for the weekend…but I’ll try to update again early next week…I think I may no longer hold the title of “blogging superstar.”

Yeah, I don't think you hold that title anymore. But not to fear, it can always be reclaimed. Thanks for all your help with my move. I can't wait!

Even though you said you weren't doing much, you sure seemed on the go. It will be great to see you guys this weekend! Then maybe I'll have something to update my blog.
