This past weekend wasn’t nearly as the previous but productive nonetheless. Friday night Adam and I went to the mall and to Pizzaria Uno for dinner. Adam’s suggestion of the Spinoccoli pizza didn’t sound very appetizing at first, but it was so good that I could go back again today and tomorrow for the same thing. We were going to try to catch a movie afterwards, but after a couple beers, salad and pizza we were too full and tired to do much else. We went home and were asleep by 10:00pm. Not a very exciting Friday night, but the relaxation was very much needed.
On Saturday I attempted to clean our bedroom in preparation for our new California King bed. After the bed arrived I didn’t get much more cleaning done as I become obsessed with looking at and laying on our new, massively sized bed. It’s been almost a week now and I’m still obsessed with it. I can’t believe that both Adam and I had slept on such a small bed for such a long time.
That night I went to baby-sit and Adam headed over to Kory’s with his boyfriend, I mean friend, Walt. After babysitting I met up with everyone at Kory’s and then we all headed to Egan and Sons for a beer before closing. My favorite part of the night was on the way home when I stopped and got White Castles. I haven’t had WC’s since January, and they tasted so much better at 3:00am.
On Sunday, I actually got Adam AND Walt to come to mass with me. I think they were a little pissed when they realized that it was Palm Sunday and the mass lasted an hour and a half. After mass it was such a nice day out that Adam and I decided to take a drive down to J.J. Bittings brewery and restaurant. After lunch at J.J. Bittings, we drove about a ½ mile down the road to Wegmans. After loading up on the necessities at Wegmans we drove back home. It was so nice out that it almost felt like a Sunday driving back from the shore.
Monday started the 1st day of my diet. I’ve been pretty good so far. I have worked out everyday and been watching my food intake carefully. I am staying away from all sodas, fast food, anything fried and pasta, which is the hardest of all for me. I went rollerblading Monday, ran Tuesday and attended spinning yesterday. I’m hoping that this will all pay off, and if I can’t lose 10-15 lbs. by June I will be very upset. It’s another gorgeous day here so I’m hoping that I can get some rollerblading in before mass tonight… we’ll see.
Adam’s parents are coming in for Easter this weekend so we’ll be spending most of our time with them. I’m sure a couple breweries will be on the agenda, as will a Easter brunch…I’m wondering how well my diet will work this weekend? I’m hoping that working out will be able to save me…we’ll see.
