Running on empty...

To say I'm running on fumes is an understatement. In the past two weeks I've been to Columbus, Detroit, back to Columbus, back to NJ and have taken two more day trips to Columbus (in and out same day).
Two weekends ago I was back in MI for a early Mother's Day visit. While home I was able to visit some friends I hadn't seen in a long time. Sometimes I wish I lived closer to my family and friends back in Detroit. I really enjoy living with Adam and being close to Kendra, Fink and Sarah, but sometimes I just really miss my old friends. I'm sure that my pre-menstrual state didn't help, but I couldn't help but shed a couple tears driving back to Columbus after a great weekend back I MI.
Being busy all week at work makes the weeks FLY by. Just this past weekend Adam and I headed to Rochester, NY for a weekend with his family. His brother was back in town for the weekend and we were able to celebrate Mother's Day with his Mom, so it was nice to be around at least one of our parents for the Holiday. We drove back yesterday afternoon with a new couch and chair. We got rid of both our love seats and se-up our new living room furniture last night. It looks great and I can't wait to relax at home tonight.
This week doesn't seem to be as hectic thus far. I really just want to relax and catch up on some of my "stories" (tv shows) that I've missed the past two weeks.
On another high note, Adam and I have already started to book some concerts for the summer. We're going to see Kenny Chesney w/ Sugarland in July, and just this morning we were able to get tickets for Jimmy Buffet at Madison Square Garden in September. Now that we don't have a shore house hogging up our weekends we'll be able to do more fun things. I'm thinking about a weekend in Wildwood, or a weekend trip to Maine (I've never been but it seems like a nice Summer vacation spot).
Although I'm super tired, this weather has got me super excited for summer and focusing on that has definately helped me get through the past couple weeks.
