I hate Mondays! Actually, I probably hate Sunday nights more... I hate knowing that tomorrow morning I have to get up, shower, and go to work. And the worst part about it, is knowing that you have to do it for 5 days!!!! It's not that I hate work, I just hate getting up for work. I look forward to every Friday and I count down the days/hours until the next weekend. Well, this past weekend came and went. This weekend gave Adam and I more time to explore the city and just relax. On Friday after work I went to have a drink with Kevin and Mason from work. I love going out to just shoot the shit and have a couple beers. After 2 beers, a basket of wings and playing some SNOOD, I headed home to gather some clothes and go to Adam's for the night. I think I was asleep by 10:00pm, which felt great.
On Saturday morning we walked to the train station and took the 9:40am train to Penn Station for the noon football game at Blondies. We got there a little early and had polished off 20 wings by kickoff... Blondies has the best wings!!!! After an upseting loss to Ohio State we headed out. I was pretty wasted, so we killed some time in the park. We then headed over to Heartland Brewery in Times Square, and Adam had some fabulous micro brewed beer, while I stuck to water. After that, we killed some time at ESPN zone. We were meeting Jim and some of the guys in Hoboken later that night, so we had a couple hours to kill. I kicked Adam's ass in the shooting game, and the racing game. After blowing enough money on video games we headed back to Jersey. It took a while for our friends to get to Hoboken, and I was exhausted by 10:00pm. We took the 1:45 train home, and were in bed by 2:45. Luckily today we just took it easy. I wanted to get some laundry done and clean, but I accomplished neither. Over the past week I've felt like I've been coming down with a cold... and after last night, it has officially arrived. I didn't feel like doing much all day today, but I did put my clothes (and Adams) in my car to wash tomorrow after work (I like the laundromat by my work much better anyways).
After taking an afternoon nap, I'm not too tired yet. I think I'll shower and maybe read a little bit before bed. I hope with rest and some Vitamin C I can kick this cold by mid week! It was a great weekend, but I'm definately not ready for work tomorrow... oh well.

Funny, I have only 2 more years until I retire and I have those same Sunday night feelings and I have for every year I've been teaching! Guess it isn't just the career path I chose, eh?
