22... Here I come!

I decided to update my blog to give my mother and aunt something better to do on the internet then look up sexual predators. My aunt who recently moved from Tampa to the quaint, quiet town of Marshall, MIchigan was apparently so shocked to find out that she had 28 sexual predators amoung her, that she felt the need to tell everyone, including the guy contracted to remodel her kitchen. And after recieving a demanding email to update my blog, I figured it was the least I could do for my #1 fans.
This past weekend was quite an upset for any MSU fan, let alone Adam and myself who flew in especially hoping that the Spartans could defeat the Wolverines. The rivalry between Michigan and Michigan State is one of the best parts about going to State. You can always rest assured that there will be a new creative shirt to purchase. Other the years my two favorite Anti-Michigan shirts were:
"Ann Arbor is a whore" and "Wolverines Fuck Squirels" as much as I would have loved to spend $15 for one of these quality tees, I would have loved to see my mothers face even more when she did the laundry. Needless to say, I've never bought one, but enjoy seeing everyone else wearing them. I'm not going to go into the details of the game, because the rant session could take all night, but lets say that the Spartans let me down again. They'll always be my team, but we all know we should have easily pulled off a win this year.
Even though we lost the game in overtime, it was great to see everyone. I got to see Kendra, Amy and Emily and it felt good to have 11F back together again, even if it was just for a couple hours.
On Sunday I went home and had a great joint birthday celebration w/ my family. I got to see a ton of family members this weekend, which was awesome. My mom made a phenomenal dinner, and we had great cake too. It's always so hard to say goodbye... it still feels more "home" to me than my apartment does. It's so weird to get getting on a plane w/ Adam to go home to NJ. I'm definately starting to feel more at home though, I'm developing more serious friendships and learning my way around more and more each day. I'll always be a midwestern girl, but sometimes I suprise myself with some Jerseyish comment.
This weekend Adams parents are coming to NJ to celebrate my birthday with us, which will be so nice. I can't wait for this weekend, only 1 more day :) On Sunday I'll be the big 2-2... uh-oh I'm getting old!

We had an awesome weekend in NJ despite the 8"+ of rain! What the &^%&%((! It just wouldn't stop! It was neat to visit both of your apartments and especially awesome to watch the Gophers of Minnesota take down the weasels of Michigan at your place, Abbey! The brew pub was fun and Bellisimo was just plain delicious! Can't wait to see you guys again!
