LI Wineries

This past weekend my friend Carl visited from Detroit. I'm not going to post about our fabulous weekend yet because I'm waiting on pics from Kendra, so be sure to stay tuned for the deets.

I would however like to rave about last night and the fun we (or maybe it was just me) had at the Long Island wineries. The LI wineries are located on the North Fork of Long Island about 2 hours east of NYC, and about 40 minutes from Kendra's apartment. Kendra is a wine club member at one of the wineries and has gotten pretty familiar with all the "pourers" at many of the nearby wineries. You can buy wine by the glass or flight and it's actually a pretty decent value. Kendra, Carl, Marc and and I ended up buying two bottles of wine which we enjoyed outside on the winery patio. The wineries even let you bring your own food to picnic with, or at Kendra's winery they serve the wine with this really good Asiago cheese.

In 3 weekends I'll be back at the wineries with my mom, Adam, Adam's family and Kendra. I hope the weather will be as enjoyable as it was last night. It was a perfect night with the perfect company and I definitely had a perfect wine buzz.
