I made it home around 6:30 with enough time to change and make myself look presentable for dinner. Adam and I drove to our friends house in Clifton and then drove together to the Ruth's Chris in Weehawkin. They had an amazing deal going on for restaurant week where you got a salad, your steak (I got a filet), a side dish and desert for $35.00. The steak was phenomenal and our waiter informed us that Eli Manning was sitting several tables away. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see him but just knowing he was several yards away is enough of a celebrity siting for me.
After dinner we headed home and being that we were so full and content we fell asleep around 11:00pm.
Saturday we got up and headed into the city with Fink and Sarah with plans to meet up with Kendra and tailgate in Central Park with the other NYC Alums. The second we stepped out of the Subway @ 86th the clouds opened up and it started to pour. We decided against going to Central Park since the rain didn't seem like it was going to let up anytime soon. Instead we made our way over to Blondies early and grabbed a table before the hordes of people arrived. We got food and drinks and the party was underway. By the time the game actually started at 3:30pm, we were at least 8 pitchers deep and excited for what turned out to be a great game. The Spartans beat the Fighting Irish and are now 4-0 for the season. This upcoming weekends game against Wisconsin will arguably be their most difficult game, but I'm hoping that we can again pull off another win. Kendra and I will meet you at Blondies...

The best looking table at Blondies :)
On Sunday, Adam and I went to Costco, Trader Joe's, did laundry and picked up around the house. I also started on "A Thousand Splendid Suns" which is turning out to be even better than Khaled Hosseini's first Novel "The Kite Runner." I'm actually looking forward to getting home and going to the park to read. Is it just me or isn't reading so much more enjoyable when you're outside?
Other than tonight it seems I have a pretty exciting week and weekend to look forward to. I'm planning on catching a movie w/ Adam tomorrow night, babysitting on Wednesday and Friday night, going into the city w/ Kendra on Saturday and going to see "Across the Universe" on Sunday. I'm pretty geeked for the week/weekend ahead and it's only Monday!
